“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing. That’s why we recommend it daily.”
~ Zig Ziglar
There are days when I wake up and think, “What the hell is the point?” I know that I will walk up my stairs, shuffle into my bathroom, put my hair up in a tight bun, throw on my monkey suit, don my war paint, and head to the office for another day that seems much longer than eight hours. It’s a veritable certainty because I have bills to pay. I have responsibilities. Sounds depressing, right?
Thing is, there are days when this isn’t the case. Days when I wake up full of energy and joy. Days when I know that this will be the day that I make a difference. Days when I spring from my bed full of purpose and focus. Days when I’m so motivated it makes others sick to their stomachs. It’s these days I love the most. Days when I’m filled with unbridled enthusiasm. I’m happy and upbeat. Brimming with positivity.
Honestly, it’s these days I love the most. I believe that I’m happiest when I have a purpose. When I’m motivated to achieve. When I’m inspired to do more than what’s expected of me. When I’m driven to be the best version of myself.
I need more days like these. How about you?
Amazing article. Setting goals, self-efficiency, and efforts are the main reasons that lead to motivation.
