“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
~ George Eliot
Oh, how true today’s inspirational quote is. It’s never to late to do anything – to be anything. I always tell my husband and children this. At every opportunity that presents itself. Sometimes the reaction I get is a look in their eyes that says, “you really are crazy,” but to the core of me, I believe this to be true.
I’m the eternal optimist. A life-long over-achiever. It’s my belief in what this quote says that makes this possible. When I develop a desire to do something new, I don’t wait around hoping that one day it will come true. I step up and get it done. Always. I never want to cheat myself out of what might have been.
I want to make my life what I want it to be. There have been several versions along the past 40-ish years, and I’m excited for the next 20, 30, or heck, even 40 (yes, this will make me 80-ish). Even at that age I plan to have a great deal of life left to live.
If you have a life-long dream that you’ve considered for what feels like an eternity, stop waiting. Take the steps you need to go out and get it. Otherwise it will always be ‘what might have been’.
I love this honey. I needed to read it. So I can stay motivated on what I want to achieve. And I am so glad that no matter what I reach for you are always by my side.
