Day 65: Silence Your Self-Doubt

If you hear a voice within you say, “you cannot paint,” then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

~ Vincent Van Gogh

The most effective way to fight self-doubt is to do exactly opposite of what that small, nagging voice is echoing in your head.  I do this all the time.  Every time I think that I can’t do something, I do it.  I do it with conviction, tenacity, and belief in myself.  It’s what drives me to achieve the things that I dream of.

I know, I know, easier said than done, right, and yes, I struggle against that voice of insecurity daily, but I refuse to give in to it.  Why limit myself?  That, in my opinion, would be miserable.  Not to mention, I wouldn’t achieve anything that my heart aches for.

Instead, I push through it and put that voice on silent.  Try it sometime.  You might surprise yourself.
