“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
~ Arthur Ashe
Today’s quote is fantastic advice. Advice that I’ve not only given to my children, but put into practice in my own life. If there is something that you want, start exactly where you are at and begin the journey towards achieving it. Use whatever resources that you have. These resources often lead to more connections that you can leverage in reaching your goal. And do what you can; do whatever is within your power to propel yourself toward your dream.
I know it sounds simple. It is simple. It’s making a choice, starting your journey, and leveraging any help you have along the way. I know that asking for help can be frightening. I’ve been there myself; terrified to ask and even more terrified of not asking. But I think you’ll find there is a sense of great strength in asking for assistance. Two is better than one, right.
If you have a dream and you’re not sure how to get it done alone, ask for help. Start where you are with what and who you have around you that will assist you in making those strides. Sometimes just taking one step moves us along our paths faster.
